Tiger High is a Two Time Cheater

August 21, 2009

For the all the Tiger High apologists, keep in mind that this is the SECOND time your appearance in the Final Four was erased.  Like Cal, Tiger High has been caught cheating twice. What do you expect in a city where ‘cheating’ and corruption is a way of life.

Did Any Memphis Player Take The SAT?

June 3, 2009

Where there is smoke there is usually fire. Such is the case with the Tiger High scandal.

Fan IQ states, “Add another Memphis player to the fishy SAT scores controversy. Robert Dozier went to Memphis after Georgia wouldn’t accept him because they didn’t think his score was legit.” The Sporting News headline reads, “Memphis Hoops: Where Qualifying SAT Scores Appear To Be Optional” I don’t understand it. It’s not like UM has very hard entrance requirements.

Calipari’s Daughter Is Defending Her Dad

May 31, 2009

In response to the plethora of critics in the media, the Calipari clan is publicly defending their dad’s reputation. Shouldn’t Cal be the one doing all the talking? True to his nature, Calipari is whining and trying to bully his critics.

Slick Willie Running for Congress

April 22, 2009

The Commercial Appeal reported today that Willie Herenton is thinking about making a congressional run. Why not? He has all the requisite qualifications of a congressman. He is frequently under criminal investigation; he has numerous scandles; he polarizes people; he gives good soundbites; and he is completely impotent.

Pure Memphis Propaganda

April 15, 2009

I recently ran across Memphis Connect; a site that was developed by the Leadership Academy to bolster the city’s image and to promote ‘positive’ discussion. While I applaud any effort to improve the city, I am stunned by the naivete of this effort. The characterization of Memphis is fictitious at best and pure propaganda at its worst. Had I not lived in Memphis for 5 years, I would have been impressed by all that the city has to offer. However, I know better. The truth is this is a city in peril not a ‘jewel in the rough’. City leaders including the “Leadership Academy” should remember that the first step to recovery is admitting that you have a problem. There are relatively few metropolitan areas of comparable size that are worse off then Memphis in almost every relevant category. Memphis has set the bar for substandard  health, poverty, crime, corruption, racism, and religious intolerance. Read the rest of this entry ?

This is you ‘wow’ coach Memphis?

April 4, 2009

Right after Calipari departed the Bluff City, Tiger High boosters promised that they were going to get a ‘wow’ coach to replace him.  After many rejections by coaches who ‘know better’, Tiger High good ‘ole boys are looking to Waco, Texas for their next victim err I mean coach.

OK….WOW!

Screw the recession. We gotta keep Cal!

March 31, 2009

With all the problems facing this hell hole we call Memphis, the only thing that seems to bother Memphians is coach Cal leaving. Face it you were never going to keep him in the first place. Repeat after me…’Cal is gone’…’Cal is gone’.  As the Memphis infrastructure crumbles, the good ole’ boy network is trying to match the Kentucky offer. Keep in mind that Cal is good at two things recruiting and self-promotion. He’s been leaving Memphis every since he got here.
